It's like taking Oblivion and giving it a gold crown. I am level 40 out of 50 on it already and love it. I am at 70 hours of gameplay time ( somewhere around there) And theres still so much to do. It will definetly keep me occupied till at LEAST march probally longer. It Deserves Game of the year award because compared to all these other games that have been released this is simply amazing. It has so much craftmanship and you can tell alot of time was put into it.
I'm just going to keep my answer short for this but I hope it helps.
It has well exceeded my expectations that I had. I had thought it'd be more like Oblivion and not live up to everything they said was going to happen but I was COMPLETELY wrong and glad about that fact. Everything they had said about the game came through and did so very well. They did everything they said they were going to do and more. They even brought back werewolves much to my delight. Vampires were better in Oblivion but they got kinda nerfed in Skyrim unfortunately though they no longer take damage from the sun ... You just lose some of your Max Health while you are outside in the sun.
And why stop at just GOTY I think it should be Game of the Decade both in the last 10 years and probably in the next 10. I don't think anything will match the scale of Skyrim. Also the DLC is supposed to be more like expansions (like Shivering Isles from Oblivion) rather than short little missions like Fallout 3 %26amp; NV which will make Skyrim's world that much bigger.What do you think of Elder Scrolls: Skyrim?
Skyrim has achieved something amazing. It is a huge game with a ton of customization and loads of content, all packed unto one disc. It truly is a marvel. But, In my personal opinion, Saints row 3 deserves game of the year. it doesn't have hundreds of hours of content or a huge world with sprawling dungeons, but what it does ave is so much better. It has 20 hours of non-stop fun and over the top awesomeness, and I friggen love it. Don't get me wrong, skyrim is great, and ive spilled around 60 hours into it, but saints is my game of the year
Never heard of skyrim till it was released. Never was with the series. So I wont give a nerdy opinion.
The game is your typical RPG.
Many quests and great storys to tell.
Items and weapons along with spells have a great veriety.
You can never go wrong with how you want your character. You will always feel like a badass.
If you love adventure, there is plenty to see and come across.
Glitches are rare and mostly funny.
Dungeons are amazing and fighting dragons will keep you playing for hours.

Yes, Im playing it now. It has pretty much lived up to my expectations. At first i was a little disappointed, but after playing oblivion again i realized just how far the game had come. Yes it deserves a GotY award. I think they should have carried a few things over from oblivion like when you look in the chest and you divide things up into sections depending on what they are. There is a lot of lag and slow loading and i have had the game freeze on my a few times when using magic. but other control are a lot easier to use Overall it is a great game worth playing and lots of praise
My friends have this game and i will be getting it soon because this one of the best RPGs you will ever play. This is a game that is worth the money and will keep you playing for a long time.
One of my friend played this game now and he said "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was one of the games that I had flagged to pick up and play. I just never got around to it until last fall. "
I think its awesome!!! It's really interesting and very entertaining! I really love it, and think that Bethesda did a great job! with there was another game like Skyrim coming out soon :)
