Go through all the Fighter's Guild to get built up. Thieves Guild to start with in Bruma once you get your fence is a good idea too. There's a couple of menial quests in Bruma you can use to up your level, like the Brotherhood Betrayed. The best thing to do for your character? Do whatever you think they'd want to do, or whatever you want to do. You'd think the automatic choice would be to join the Fighter's Guild... but what about doing the Arena quests first? It would be a challenge, but it's possible. Or - how righteous is your character? If you think that your Khajiit would focus on doing the good %26amp; right thing - do the main quest first. Or - have him/her wander around at random, looting forts and emptying caves of their creatures %26amp; treasure. Or - do you own either Knights of the Nine or Shivering Isles?
