It says people don't like it when you talk to them with your weapons drawn. So I unequipped all of my weapons but my character still has her fist drawn. How do I make her put her fists down? I'm playing on PC.How do I disarm myself in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion?
I'm not sure what the key is, but it will be on the back of your manual, but there is a button that will sheathe your weapon. You do not need to unequip the weapon, just make sure that it's put away.
What they mean by that is that any person that you talk to with your weapon drawn takes a 10 point hit to their disposition.

Is there anyway to avoid vampirism in elder scrolls oblivion?
My friend told me he made it to like lvl 14 without being infected and i just got the disease and im only lvl 4 and i have been looking for the soul gems needed for like a week strait now and im fed up...i was thinking of starting a new game..and if i do is there anyway i can avoid becoming a vampire? Is there anyway to avoid vampirism in elder scrolls oblivion?
Hi Andre,
I experienced the same problem you did and I restarted the game, though I restarted for other reasons. You must have gone into a vampire cave and fought vampires. The truth is that it is actually very easy to avoid turning into a vampire. Some people actually enjoy turning into a vampire because you become very powerful.
To understand how to avoid turning into a vampire, let's talk about how to turn into a vampire. In Oblivion, vampirism is really a symptom of a disease called: Porphyric Hemophilia. You contract this disease when bitten by a vampire and that usually happens after you fought a vampire and he/she wounded you. Then after you contracted the disease, it takes 3 full days and sleeping for you to actually develop into a vampire (to have the symptom). That is also when you have a nightmare. In fact, you do not turn into a vampire even after three full days if you have not slept.
To avoid turning into a vampire, you do the opposite, make sure you check your status after fighting a vampire. If "Porphyric Hemophilia" appear as one of your conditions, then cure it within 3 days -- which is a lot of time. It is very easy. You can cure it like any other diseases. You can either drink a "Cure Disease" potion or spell or simply go to the temple and pray: receive blessing. After three days, however, you will turn into a real vampire (after sleep) and that become much tougher to cure, but still possible. Now, you have to go on a mission called "Til Death Do They Part" to turn yourself back to normal.

Best luck
There is no way to avoid it if you sleep you get bit if you do a quest you catch the daisies
YOU CAN CLONE THE soul gems
just get any type of spell scroll from the imperial city
in the market place district go to the mystic emporiumm I may be wrong but go there and buy 2 of the same scrolls.
Ok if you have more than one soul gem drop it until you have one. Go to the scroll in your inventory press A two times on the scroll, and now go to your soul gem in your inventory and drop it, and now it's cloned, and you should be droping two of them soul gems.
You can repete this.
The number of same scrolls you have is the number of cloned items you will drop.Is there anyway to avoid vampirism in elder scrolls oblivion?
When you first get infected with vampirism... it's ok... just remember this: DON'T SLEEP ANYWHERE!!!!! because when you sleep, the disease develops while you sleep.
If you do fall asleep (must be less than three times after infected), you can go to a church altar and it will cure the disease.
Or you could make or buy a cure disease spell and use it on yourself.
And there is this very long mission you can do to get rid of vampirism as a last resort.
Once you contract the disease, go to an altar and pray to be healed, as long as it's been under three days, you'll be good. If it's been more than three days, just put off sleeping as long as possible. But if you want to completely avoid infection, don't fight vamps, and don't eat the Champion's heart. Is there anyway to avoid vampirism in elder scrolls oblivion?
kill the vampire before it infects you or avoid all vampires. another thing you can do if you do get bit is to get the cure. cant remember exactly where the cure is at but i have the strategy guide around here somewhere. email me if you have questions
Needed for what?
just go to a shrine or church in any city or town, then go to the alter and then click prayer.
you should be clean (unless your a full vampire)
*Go to church and pray at alter(unless your full vampire)
*Drink/cast cure disease
*I think argonians are immune to disease, thus cannot become vampires

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for xbox 360, how do you get boxes to store things in your house ?
I have a little shack outside of imperial city, and need to store things inside containers and boxes/chests where do i get them? The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for xbox 360, how do you get boxes to store things in your house ?
You can buy furniture for your house in the marketplace. The shop is three brothers trade goods. The best house in terms of storage is the house in anvil though - tons of storage spaces and a massive cellar too.

On elder scrolls 4 (ps3) how do i get rid of the quest dagger from the vampire cure quest?
Every time i try to drop it or trade it it says that i can't do this with a quest item and i did complete the quest just in case you are wondering. On elder scrolls 4 (ps3) how do i get rid of the quest dagger from the vampire cure quest?
You can't get rid of it. At least not in the Game of the Year edition. I can't even put the Blade of Woe into my storage container in my house. So I just run around with it acting like its not there. (doesn't affect my character any, no disease, no weight, nothing)On elder scrolls 4 (ps3) how do i get rid of the quest dagger from the vampire cure quest?
sometimes certain items just stay in your inventory. I wouldn't worry about it, it weighs nothing. it can aso happen with the large gem from the end of mage guild quest, some stuff from shivering isles, certain keys, many items can potentially get stuck in inventory. never had that one before. also, if you play another diff character that won't get stuck, it'l be something else.
sorry but if it's there, it's there for good. not a huge deal, is it? It weighs nothing, after all.

This happened to me. you cant drop it or trade it. i suggest if you have a house in any of the cities or even at the waterfront just put it in one of your storage crates. i did that and it worked.
your never really fully cured from porphyria it keeps the quest daggeer thereto remind you that theres still altered stats and your easily susceptible to porphyria so in other words you cant

Could someone please give me some advanced combat tips for Elder Scrolls Oblivion?
I'm a spellweaver and mostly use shield/longsword + some touch destruction spells when fighting.
And I also have a char who's more of a stealthy rouge/wizardish type.
So if you could provide me with some nice ways (moves, combos, tactics etc) on how to obliterate my foes efficiently, I would be very grateful.Could someone please give me some advanced combat tips for Elder Scrolls Oblivion?
Since you're into stealth, illusion is definitely a good skill for you to have. You can get invisibility and sneak up on your enemies with a longsword (power hit). With illusion you can also paralyze and then pump them full of destruction spells. Basically... improvise on some stealthy approaches, see what you can come up with.

what i would do is,get your alchemy to 100,you can buy 2-4 different ingredients to make potions of restore fatigue because this is the first and most common effect to find out.you can either keep buying the ingredients or buy 1 of each then duplicate them over and over and as you keep making these potions you can sell them which helps your mercantile and gives you cash.once your at 100 alchemy you can make chameleon potions that are 44% for 144 seconds, pop 3 of these and no one can see you,you can go in and either take what you want, kill who you want or what ever you like with out being seen.if you use invisibility as soon as you swing your weapon or try to open some thing you become visible, which stinks, then you can put useful enchantments on your armor like, life detection, dispel, resist magicka, fortify magicka, but try to use sigil stones because they give the largest spells.depending on what sword your using now and what level you are,you could try doing the daedric quest for boethia at level 20 and get goldbrand which does 22 fire damage per hit,or you could enchant your own sword.also a good shield to use is either spell breaker from peryite at level 10 or do the quest sins of the father and get the escutcheon of chorrol which has fortified endurance and reflect damage.you can check out this site for more help and info on the game.hope this helps.good luck in oblivion.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/oblivion:oblivi鈥?/a>Could someone please give me some advanced combat tips for Elder Scrolls Oblivion?
Well I could think of many real life examples... but the problem with oblivion is you can freeze a guy then cast a fireball on him and it won't change the effectiveness of the spell. Because of the freedom Bethesda has given us it has also limited the realism of the game. Hence, combos are non-existent.
The best way to play as a stealthy character is to use poison on your weapons. If you have a bow, just find/make a lot of poison for long-range assassinations. For spells, illusion spells such as invisible or chameleon are good, but a full set of enchanted chameleon armor is even better! ;-)
