I want to make an infantry soldier in Oblivion. Which race, birthsign, and class should I use? I know I'll probably have to make a custom class, so please give me ideas for a custom class. well you cant make a modern day infantry soldier on oblivion for several obvious reasons such as:
-different world
-no guns
-no "humans"
etc

infantry, well you could go ranged (bows) or up close. either way your going to want to pick restoration as a major skill, armory, blade, heavy armour (or light, or both), maybe blunt weapons, and a couple more to suit you. as for race that depends on what you like, for laying a serious beat down, go orc, but you probably want to go khajit, they have the eye of fear major power, which sends any enemy under lvl 25 running away, birthsigns, just read them and pick which one is best for you. and the only way youre going to get an m16 into oblivion is with a mod, so drop the idea of a modern day marine
