What is the strongest, most powerful creature one can summon in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

Supposedly a Lich and Xivilai [spelling?] are the strongest creatures one can summon but I have had both of them and they weren't very good.



The Lich would, at times, end up hitting me with one of his spells and the Xivilai [spelling?] would throw meager punches before dying.



My Daedroth is pretty good but he can barely handle an ogre.What is the strongest, most powerful creature one can summon in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?
The best creatures to summon depend upon the enemy you are facing. I like to use a Dremora Lord as a general strategy, but a Frost Atronach or Daedroth can be useful as well. They're more powerful than a Dremora Lord, but are useful only against certain enemies (Obvious example: don't pit your Frost Atronach against a Flame Atronach.)
