How to get back my weapon that glitched and went through a wall in the Elder scrolls oblivion?

its really frustrating because i placed the Staff of Worms at the table of the Arcane University on the second level and it bounced around and went straight through a wall. Iv looked every where just in case it reappeared but nothing.....

Yep, its quite sad that you have lost it forever. Your only option is to reload an older save if you are on the 360. If you are on the PC, you can do what the guy above me said.

Items are quite glitchy like that. If you're playing Oblivion on the Xbox, then no, unfortunately you cannot get it back. However, if you are p laying on the pc, then you c an open the console using the tilde button `. After opening the console you should then type 'player.additem 0004A24E 1'.
